Test Description
The DHEA test measures the levels of the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and its sulfate form (DHEA-S) in the body. DHEA is a steroid hormone produced primarily by the adrenal glands and is a precursor to the male and female sex hormones testosterone and estrogen.
