HIV 4th Gen /HIV CLIA Test

The HIV 4th Gen /HIV CLIA Test is a fourth-generation combination test that detects both HIV antibodies and p24 antigen in the blood. It is a highly accurate and reliable test for diagnosing HIV infection, especially in the early stages.

Earliest Detection (14 to 18 Days): The test can begin detecting the p24 antigen as early as 2 to 3 weeks post-exposure. However, a negative result this early is not conclusive.

High Reliability (28 Days / 4 Weeks): By week 4, the test will detect roughly 95% of HIV infections. A negative result at this mark is very reassuring, though a follow-up test is recommended to be 100% sure.

Conclusive Result (45 Days / 6 Weeks): A negative laboratory 4th-generation test taken 45 days or more after possible exposure is considered conclusive and definitive (detecting over 99% of cases) according to CDC and international sexual health guidelines.
