🧭 What You’ll Be Trained to Do
1. Medical Content Creation
- Research and write simple, accurate explanations of medical tests
- Turn complex medical information into clear, patient-friendly content
- Assist in publishing blog posts and service pages
2. SEO & Google Visibility
- Learn how Google search works (especially “near me” searches)
- Assist in optimizing our Google Business Profile
- Support keyword research and on-page SEO improvements
3. AI-Assisted Marketing
- Use tools like Frase.io and LLMs to speed up research and writing
- Learn how to create content efficiently with AI tools without sacrificing accuracy
4. Social Media Support
- Help create and schedule posts
- Engage with comments and messages professionally
- Support basic design and content ideas

About the Position
Labtest Zote Diagnostics is a fast-paced, modern diagnostic centre committed to providing convenient and high-quality laboratory services based in Nairobi. By utilising digital tools, AI, and emerging technologies, we are helping to close the gap in accessibility and affordability of laboratory diagnostics services.
We are seeking a highly motivated and disciplined individual to fill a critical position of Laboratory Technologist.
The Role
This anchor position is ideal for a licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist who excels in technical expertise, attention to detail, efficiency, and problem-solving skills. Use of digital tools to enhance work performance should be second nature.
Key Responsibilities
- Laboratory Testing and Quality Control: Perform routine lab procedures, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and consistently executing daily quality assurance and control protocols to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
- Specimen Management and Safety Compliance: Accurately collect and process specimens while strictly enforcing patient identification, safety, and infection control policies (including proper disposal of bio-hazardous materials).
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, identifying and addressing malfunctions promptly to ensure continuous service delivery.
- Reporting, Documentation, and Communication: Accurately document/chart observations and test results, and maintain open, professional communication with supervisors, clinicians, and team members regarding results, discrepancies, and critical clinical information in a timely manner.
- Quality Improvement and Procedure Management: Actively collect and evaluate quality management data, participate in reporting clinical incidents, and assist in writing and updating laboratory procedures under supervision to support continuous performance improvement.
Minimum Requirements
Only candidates who meet ALL of the following criteria will be considered:
- Academic Qualification: Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from an institution recognised by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Professional License: Possession of a Valid KMLTTB Annual Practising License and Certificate of Registration.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrate moderate to high computer literacy for data entry and electronic communication.
- Experience: Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of practical post-qualification experience in a diagnostic laboratory setting.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proven experience working with a Medical Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 15189.
- Marketing skills – Digital and conventional
